nicole salnikov is a designer and maker currently based in philadelphia, pennsylvania.

through a process-based approach, her multidisciplinary practice questions and explores the potential of architecture as a method of inquiry into conditioned human experience.

since 2015, she has been a core member of umbau, a guerrilla studio and school of architecture, as a participant and facilitator of workshops and exhibitions between Vienna, Kraków, and the Shenandoah Valley.  2016 brought the inception of studio mbns, a nomadic and collaborative practice with Michelle Bezik that investigates paradoxical relationships through two- and three-dimensional forms of representation.

nicole works in architecture at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in Philadelphia. her previous work experiences with Kreider + O’Leary in London and Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi in Philadelphia continue to influence her evolving practice, seeking to bridge the gaps between art, architecture, and design as well as between education and practice.
